Anama destroys over 2 thousand Uxos and mines in October
Baku, October 13 (AZERTAC). The Azerbaijan National Mine Action (ANAMA) has cleared 2,450,481 sq. meters area of land from 1,990 Unexploded Ordnances (UXO) and mines in October. ANAMA found 10 tank mines.
Demining operations involved 425 deminers, 6 mechanical demining machines, 30 mine detection dogs.
To date, ANAMA has cleared 146,350,726 sq.m. of land, destroying 629,397 mines and UXOs.
The Agency has carried demining operations in the regions of Tartar, Agdam, Agstafa, Fizuli, and Garadag district of Baku.
One mine and Uxo incident was registered last month.
