ANAMA participates as expert in international seminar

A regional seminar on “Strengthening Information Management for Humanitarian Mine Action in the ASEAN Region” is being held in Jakarta, Indonesia, from August 10 to 12. The seminar is jointly organized by the ASEAN Regional Mine Action Center (ARMAC) and the Geneva International Centre for Humanitarian Demining (GICHD).
The seminar aims to strengthen regional cooperation in information management in humanitarian mine action, share international best practices, enhance technical capacities, and promote the exchange of experience in data management.
Elnur Gasimov, Head of the Quality Control Department of the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA), is participating in the seminar as an expert speaker.
The Agency representative also provided participants with detailed information on the large-scale humanitarian demining activities carried out in the liberated territories of Azerbaijan.
As part of discussions on establishing a joint information center within ASEAN, which comprises 11 countries, Azerbaijan's Law “On Mine Action” and the Regulation “On the Mine Action Information System,” as well as existing centralized institutional coordination mechanisms and the successfully implemented Unified Information System, were presented as effective examples.
