Astana hosts Transeurasia-2011 international conference
Astana, November 13 (AZERTAC). The eighth international conference Transeurasia-2011 has been held in Astana bringing together delegations of transport authorities of 42 countries and representatives of 16 international organizations.
The conference was directed at strengthening cooperation between Europe and Asia.
Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister Asset Issekeshev read out President Nursultan Nazarbayev`s message to the event participants which says safe transport corridor is the key priority of transport policy of the Asian and European countries. The message also says the topical subject of the conference is stipulated by the need to speed up international trade and economic cooperation in Eurasia.
Kazakh Minister of Transport and Communications Berik Kamaliyev briefed the participants on the progress made in transport sphere in his country.
Official of Azerbaijan`s Embassy in Kazakhstan Nizami Rustamov attended the conference.
