AZERBAIJAN AND INDONESIA KEEN ON DEVELOPMENT OF ECONOMIC TIES
Minister E. Mammadyarov noted that he stands for deepening Azerbaijan-Indonesia relations and expressed hope that Indonesian embassy would soon open in Baku, given, Azerbaijani diplomatic mission exists in Jakarta.
Head of Foreign Office expressed satisfaction with cooperation with Indonesia within international organizations and stressed there is room for further cooperation in business and culture as well as energy, tourism, agriculture sectors.
Minister noted that the OIC (Organization of Islamic Conference) conference of foreign ministers, which is due in Baku in June this year, is supposed to be a remarkable event for Azerbaijan that is keen on cooperation with OIC member-states.
Ambassador stressed an importance of developing economic ties between Azerbaijan and Indonesia not only in the oil sector but also in other sectors, in particular, chemical industry and scientific researches.
In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed the negotiations for peaceful resolution of the Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Minister thanked ambassador for Indonesia’s supporting the conflict resolution process in line with international law standards and principles and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
In conclusion, Minister Elmar Mammadyarov wished every success to Amin Rian in his further activities.
