Azerbaijan, Argentina sign MoU on political consultations
Baku, November 24 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Argentina`s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship signed a Memorandum of Understanding on political consultations.
The MoU was signed by Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov and visiting Argentina`s Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship Alberto Pedro D`Alotto.
Prior to the signing ceremony, the Argentine minister had a meeting with Azeri Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and praised Azerbaijan`s development. He hailed the opening of Azerbaijan`s embassy in Argentina.
Mammadyarov, in turn, said there was great potential for development of relations between the two countries in various fields.
He touched upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, noting “putting an end to the Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan is the major priority in our foreign policy”.
D`Alotto said Argentina backs peace talks within the OSCE Minsk group format.
