AZERBAIJAN EMBASSY OPENS OFFICE IN MOLDOVA
Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine and Moldova (Embassy in based in Kiev, Ukraine) Talat Aliyev met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Moldova Andrey Stratan in Kishinev March 15.The Ambassador congratulated Mr. Stratan on the high appointment and wished him every success in this office. He also introduced Secretary of AR Embassy, head of the representative in Moldova Azar Khudiyev to the Foreign Minister. It was stressed that the decision to open the office in Kishinev had been made because “Moldova is very important to Azerbaijan.” Then, Ambassador Aliyev updated Mr. Stratan on dynamic development of Azerbaijan in economic and social sphere. The parties touched upon the problems of separatism, refugees etc. impeding effective development of both countries. On the same day, a solemn opening ceremony of the Azerbaijan Embassy’s office in Kishinev was held. Addressing the numerous guests, Ambassador Talat Aliyev stressed that the event was the realization of the task to strengthening Azerbaijan diplomacy set by President Ilham Aliyev. An official reception given on this occasion in State Chancellory’s Reception House was attended by Azerbaijani diplomats, representatives of Moldavian executive and legislative bodies and diplomatic corps, as well as Moldavian Congress of Azerbaijanis.
