AZERBAIJAN HAS ENOUGH RESERVES TO TRANSPORT GAS VIA GREECE-TURKEY PIPELINE
In a meeting with Greek Prime Minister Christos Folias, Matthew Bryza, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs said Azerbaijan has enough gas reserves to transport gas via Greece-Turkey gas pipeline. Greece will not be pressured to do anything "it does not want to," said Bryza.
Folias said his country is going to benefit from a variety of energy resources. Greece`s energy policy is set for its own benefit, but the interests of its European Union partners are also taken into account, Folias noted.
Greece is implementing Burgas-Alexandropolis pipeline project together with Russia and Bulgaria. Moreover, the country is ready to joint the South Stream gas pipeline construction project.
Bryza said Greece and northern friends have two options - Greece-Turkey gas pipeline and Nabucco project.
