Azerbaijan, Indonesia discuss cooperation in social protection

Anar Aliyev, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, met with Berlian Helmy, Ambassador of Indonesia to the country.
Highlighting friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Indonesia, Minister Anar Aliyev emphasized that there are favorable opportunities for expanding cooperation in labor, employment, and social protection.
It was noted that the activities implemented in line with the cooperation document signed in December 2022 between the Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population and Indonesia’s Ministry of Manpower have significantly contributed to strengthening relations between the two ministries. The important role of the Labour Center in Baku in developing cooperation among OIC member states in labor and social protection was highlighted.
The ambassador was also briefed on Azerbaijan’s recent social reforms, the DOST concept, and advances in digital transformation in the social sector.
Ambassador Berlian Helmy emphasized that, as in other sectors, the Embassy would support efforts to further develop bilateral cooperation in labor, employment, and social protection.
The meeting also addressed prospects for future cooperation in these areas.
