Azerbaijan, Iran discuss ICT cooperation

Azerbaijan`s Minister of Communications and High Technologies Ali Abbasov has met a delegation led by Minister of Communications and Information Technology of Iran, co-chairman of the Azerbaijani-Iranian Intergovernmental Commission on cooperation in economic, trade and humanitarian spheres Mahmoud Vaezi.
Minister Ali Abbasov said the intensive negotiations held recently between the two countries have a positive impact on the IT sector.
In turn, Iranian Minister Mahmoud Vaezi noted that the fruitful meetings gave rise to a new level between the sides. Noting Iran is represented at the exhibition BakuTel-2014 with ten IT companies, Iranian Minister spoke about their interest to enter the ICT market in Azerbaijan.
Then, Iranian IT companies participating in the exhibition BakuTel-2014 made presentations and informed the Minister about their services and products.
During the meeting it was decided to further strengthen bilateral relations and on this basis create conditions for active participation of IT companies in the markets.
