AZERBAIJAN TESTING MTF/STEFI MONEY TRANSFER SYSTEM WITH UZBEKISTAN, TAJIKISTAN
Baku, February 15 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan has launched a test MTF/STEFI international electronic money transfer with Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
According to the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies, if the test is successful, the sides will start money transferring from March 1.
Azerbaijan is also planning to start similar operations with Estonia.
Azerbaijan has joined MTF/STEFI international money transfer system in 2004, and signed such agreements with Russia, Moldova, Belarus, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and United Arab Emirates.
STEFI is a money transferring system of the Universal Postal Union.
Postal organizations of more than 22 countries all over the world have joined this system.
