Azerbaijan to produce 43m tons of oil this year
Baku, February 24 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani Energy Minister Natig Aliyev has said the country plans to produce 43 million tons of oil in 2014.
“Our main goal is to maintain the production volume at the level of 40-45 million tons," said the Minister, adding "necessary work is being carried out".
"In 2013, the oil production was estimated at 41 million tons, but it exceeded the 43 million ton mark.”
Aliyev also touched upon the gas production, saying it stood at 29 billion cubic meters in 2013. “Our major task is preserving the gas production stable.”
