Azerbaijan, UK explore agenda of energy partnership

Parviz Shahbazov, Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister, met with Fergus Auld, Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to Azerbaijan, on the completion of his diplomatic mission.
Minister Shahbazov thanked Ambassador Fergus Auld for his contribution to the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom, including energy cooperation during his tenure in the country.
Discussions at the meeting focused on the implementation of joint oil and gas and green energy projects, as well as cooperation with UK companies on green energy corridor initiatives. The sides also hailed the long-term energy partnership between Azerbaijan and the United Kingdom.
The meeting included an exchange of views on matters related to the upcoming session of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United Kingdom, to be held in Baku.
During the conversation, the ambassador was invited to participate, with a broad delegation, in the events to be held as part of Baku Energy Week.
