AZERBAIJAN-UKRAINE BUSINESS FORUM HELD IN BAKU

National Confederation of Entrepreneurs’ (Employers’) Organizations organized the business forum for Ukrainian and Azerbaijani businessmen on June 13 at the Hyatt Regency-Nakhchivan hotel. The event involved 60 Ukrainian businessmen.

President of the Confederation Alakbar Mammadov said that this forum is held in accordance with the protocol on cooperation signed with the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Employers. According to A. Mammadov, trade turnover between the two countries reached $259 million in 2005 and such forums play a key role in developing economic ties.

In their speeches, Ukrainian and Azerbaijani businessmen described today’s trade turnover as unsatisfactory. According to them, bilateral relations should be developed.

Then, businessmen held some meetings on the sidelines of the forum.
