Azerbaijani ambassador presents credentials to President of Argentina
Baku, November 2 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani ambassador to Argentina Mammad Ahmadzade has presented his credentials to this country`s President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
The ambassador conveyed greetings of President Ilham Aliyev to Argentina`s leader. Ahmadzade said the embassy of Azerbaijan in Argentina is the country`s first diplomatic representation in South America, adding it is an indicator of development of cooperation between the two countries.
The diplomat also underlined the importance of opening of Azerbaijan`s embassy in Buenos Aires in terms of awareness-raising on Azerbaijan in South America.
President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner, in turn, asked the Azerbaijani ambassador to pass on her greetings to the Azerbaijani leader.
She praised the fact that Argentina is the first country in South America where Azerbaijan had opened its diplomatic representation.
Argentina`s President also expressed assurance that the opening of the embassy would contribute to developing relationship between the two countries.
