AZERBAIJANI AND BRITISH BUSINESSMEN EXPAND RELATIONS
Azerbaijani and British businessmen held September 16 the meeting to expand scope of relations and discuss prospects of relations between Azerbaijan and British Business Association for Middle East.
During the meeting, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Economic Development Heydar Babayev said Great Britain plays important role in foreign capital flow in Azerbaijan and the Azerbaijani government highly prizes trade and economic relations with this country.
Noting that the meeting will play an important role in boosting relations between the two countries, the Minister said today Azerbaijan government`s efforts are aimed to attracting more British investments into the country`s non-oil sector.
In his turn, general director of the association Michael Thomas said the businessmen of the organization engaged in oil, gas, construction, agriculture, education and other fields conduct more than 80 meetings with businessmen of leading countries of the world in a year.
He said the Organization is keen to cooperate with African countries, as well as Turkey, Russia, Iran.
Finally, the parties signed a letter of intention.
