Azerbaijani delegation attends Skills Summit in Istanbul

An Azerbaijani delegation led by Anar Aliyev, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, participated in the Skills Summit on “Unlocking Talent Across Generations” in Istanbul.
As part of the summit, the minister held several bilateral meetings.
During a meeting with Wang Xiaoping, Chinese Minister of Human Resources and Social Security, Anar Aliyev emphasized that the comprehensive strategic partnership between Azerbaijan and China provides a favorable basis for expanding cooperation in labor and social protection.
The meeting between Anar Aliyev and Luka Mesec, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor, Family, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities of Slovenia, focused on the development of relations between the two countries.
During a meeting with Vedat Işıkhan, Minister of Labor and Social Security of Türkiye, Minister Aliyev described relations between the two countries as being at the level of brotherhood and strategic alliance. He also underscored the high-level cooperation between the ministries.
The Azerbaijani minister also met with Zehra Zümrüt Selçuk, Director General of the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Center for Islamic Countries (SESRIC).
The sides underlined the importance of the cooperation document signed between the ministry and SESRIC in 2023 in strengthening relations from an institutional perspective and defining the legal and methodological framework for joint efforts.
During a meeting with Diana Johnson, UK Minister of State for Employment in the Department for Work and Pensions, Anar Aliyev highlighted the steps taken to expand active labor market programs in Azerbaijan and the broad application of digital solutions in labor and employment.
