AZERBAIJANI FOREIGN MINISTER HOLDS SOME MEETINGS IN MADRID
Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elmar Mammadyarov held a number of meetings on the sidelines of the 15th OSCE Ministerial Council in Madrid.
The meeting between E. Mammadyarov and his Icelandic counterpart Mrs. Valgerdur Sverrisdottir focused on the prospects of relationships between Azerbaijan and Iceland.
Discussions between Russian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers revolved around activity of the joint intergovernmental commission, opportunities for increasing the trade turnover, and ways of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The sides stressed the importance of reciprocal visits and various events for expanding bilateral ties.
Azerbaijani FM is also scheduled to meet with Nicolas Burns, US Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs, Miguel Angel Moratinos, Spanish Foreign Minister and Robert Simmons, NATO`s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia.
