AZERBAIJANI-ISRAELI AGROBUSINESS FORUM OPENS IN BAKU
The event was also attended by Ismat Abbasov, Minister of Agriculture of Azerbaijan, and Israeli ambassador Artur Lenk.
Both officials noted the forum would strengthen the bilateral economic and business relations between Azerbaijan and Israel, and would be very useful help to study the investment potential of Azerbaijan, pointing out that the two countries will benefit from this cooperation.
Speaking about the economic achievements of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, said development of the non-oil sector, including the agriculture, is the priority.
He also described Azerbaijan as a country with favorable conditions for foreign investments.
For his part, Bahram Aliyev, Deputy Minister of Agriculture, informed the guests on Azerbaijan’s current agricultural situation.
Afterward, the presentation of Israeli companies took place.
In order to continue their mission, the Forum participants will visit Quba region, February 21.
