Azerbaijani, Maldivian FMs hold phone talk

On April 12, Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov and Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid held a telephone conversation.
The FMs exchanged views on the agenda of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Minister Abdulla Shahid noted with satisfaction the cooperation in the humanitarian sphere and the creation of educational opportunities for students from the Republic of Maldives on the basis of scholarships provided by the Government of Azerbaijan. Minister Jeyhun Bayramov noted that we are always ready to provide appropriate conditions for the citizens of friendly countries to carry out their activities in the field of science and education in Azerbaijan.
The sides discussed issues of cooperation within international organizations, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement, the United Nations and specialized agencies.
FM Bayramov briefed his counterpart on the current situation in the region after the 44-day Patriotic War, new realities and issues related to the implementation of the trilateral statements.
The two ministers also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
