Azerbaijani, Norwegian governments sign two agreements

The governments of Azerbaijan and Norway have today inked agreements on visa facilitation and on the readmission of persons residing without authorization.
The documents were signed by Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Khalaf Khalafov and Norway’s Ambassador to Azerbaijan Bard Ivar Svendsen.
The documents will see the two governments facilitate procedures for issuing visas to citizens of Azerbaijan and Norway, visa-free regime for citizens of both countries holding diplomatic passports, reduce the number of required documents, deadline for processing application and visa fees, identify the persons who do not follow the conditions regarding entering, staying or living in the territory of Azerbaijan and Norway or who haven’t fulfilled these conditions, and quickly and efficiently realize their safe and orderly return.
At the signing ceremony, the sides noted that the signing of the agreements would contribute to the strengthening of relations between Azerbaijan and Norway in economic, humanitarian, cultural, scientific and other fields.
The parties also discussed the current state and prospects of ties between the two countries.
