AZERBAIJANI OBSERVERS TO MONITOR PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS IN RUSSIA
The Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan is represented by Chairman of the Standing Commission on Natural Resources, Energy and Ecology Asya Manafova, deputies Giulyar Ahmadova, Mirkazim Kazimov and Novruz Guliyev, and the Central Election Commission of the country by Chairman Mazahir Panakhov who has invited by Chairman of the Central Election Commission of Russia Alexander Vishnyakov.
The parliamentary delegation of Azerbaijan takes part in the elections monitoring as a apart of the CIS observers mission. Mrs. Asya Manafova has bee elected as a head of a group of observers from CIS countries. The staff of the CIS observers Mission is headed by Chairman of the CIS Executive Committee Yuriy Yarov.
On the day of the Presidential elections in Russia, our observers plan to be divided into two groups to choose 10 polling stations to visit, Mrs. Asya Manafova told AzerTAj reporter. She noted after the stations are closed, the CIS monitors would go to the staff to prepare summary report to be made public on March 15.
Reportedly, preliminary results of the elections will be available by 5 a.m. on March 15. According to the RF Central Election Commission, the CEC by that time will have data obtained from 90 percents of election districts throughout Russia. The Commission said that over thousand international observers were expected to take part in the election, and that it has already accredited 600 monitors from 48 countries until now.
The largest group observers /over 300/ have been sent by OSCE, and about 200 observers represent CIS countries.
