Azerbaijani, Russian customs services sign joint cooperation plan

Azerbaijan`s State Customs Committee and the Federal Customs Service of Russia have signed a joint cooperation plan in Moscow.
Inked as part of a visit of a delegation led by deputy chairman of Azerbaijan`s State Customs Committee Asgar Abdullayev, the document will see the two countries cooperate in combating customs violations in 2015-2016.
Prior to the signing ceremony, Mr. Abdullayev met deputy head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia Ruslan Davidov, and they discussed a draft protocol on cooperation in air cargo transportation.
The Azerbaijani delegation also watched a presentation on risk management in the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Speaking to the event, Mr. Davidov said Russia considered Azerbaijan its strategic partner.
Mr. Abdullayev highlighted Azerbaijan`s socio-economic achievements.
