Azerbaijan`s Agriculture Minister meets WB Baku Office head

Baku, July 27 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Agriculture Ismat Abbasov has met with World Bank`s (WB) Baku Office head Joseph Owen and members of appraisal mission of the Second Azerbaijan Rural Investment Project (AzRIP-2).

The meeting focused on the discussions related with AzRIP-2 project.

Speaking in meeting, the Azerbaijani Minister noted existence of great potential for expanding cooperation with WB. He stressed the importance of the WB projects towards development of agriculture, creation of abundance of foodstuffs, prevention of rural-urban migration, improve social situation.

Owen noted that appraisal mission will hold a number of meetings in Azerbaijan till the end of July.
