Azerbaijan`s ambassador meets CEO of Indonesian national news agency
Baku, November 4 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijani ambassador in Jakarta Ibrahim Hajiyev has met CEO of Indonesian National News Agency Antara and President of Organization of Asian-Pacific Agencies (OANA) Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf.
Yusuf praised a memorandum of understanding signed between national news agencies of Indonesia and Azerbaijan in Jakarta on 13 December 2007.
He said the agreement, signed during the visit of AZERTAC`s director general Aslan Aslanov to the Indonesian capital, was a boost to development of cooperation between the two agencies.
Antara`s CEO praised current level of cooperation between the two agencies, praising, in particular, reciprocal visits by photo correspondents.
He added the agencies will also exchange journalists in 2011. Yusuf proposed holding a photo exhibition of correspondents next year in Jakarta on the eve of the 28 Mayth - the Day of Republic in Azerbaijan.
OANA`s President recalled his visit to Azerbaijan in 2008, and hailed “rapid” development of the country.
Yusuf said he got “great” impressions from the meeting of the participants the 30th Executive Board Meeting of OANA with Azerbaijan`s President Ilham Aliyev in Baku.
Ambassador Hajiyev said the two countries benefit from the “effective” cooperation between AZERTAC and Antara.
The diplomat handed over to Yusuf books featuring Azerbaijan`s history, culture, art and tourism.
