Azerbaijan`s delegation to take part at session of IMO`s Sea Security Committee
Baku, November 23 (AZERTAC). The regular (88th) session of the Sea Security committee of International Maritime Organization (IMO) will take place in London from November 24 to December 4, press-service of the State Sea Administration of Azerbaijan said. The delegation led by chief of SSA Gudret Gurbanov will represent Azerbaijan.
At session, delegations of the various international organizations from 165 countries will discuss “Changes in the International Convention on human life protection on the sea”, measures on security strengthening, standards of building of new vessels, questions of improvement of rescue and search works, conditions of control on National Flag and port by the member states of International Maritime Organization and mechanism of strengthening control over activity of classification associations.
Session participants will also elect chairman and the vice-chairman of the Sea Security Committee of International Maritime Organization for 2011.
