Azerbaijan`s deputy FM meets Argentine MPs
Baku, September 27 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Khalaf Khalafov met with the visiting members of Argentine parliament.
Speaking in the meeting, Khalafov noted that Armenia-Azerbaijan, Nagorno-Karabakh conflict is a `main obstacle` to development of the region. He added that occupation and ethnic cleansing policy is unacceptable to world community and results of the occupation “have not been recognized”.
The Argentine delegation condemned occupation of the Azerbaijani territories by Armenia and noted they would educate Argentine people about Azerbaijani realities. They expressed hope for the soonest settlement of the conflict.
Existence of great potential for development of cooperation between the two countries was noted in the meeting. The Argentine MPs stressed they witnessed rapid development in Azerbaijan. Importance of informing relevant organizations of Argentina about cooperation opportunities on agriculture, energy, industry, tourism and other spheres was noted during the conversation.
On Azerbaijan`s leading role in the region, the Azerbaijani deputy FM said cooperation with Azerbaijan will be useful for Argentina.
