‘Azerbaijan`s elections were free and transparent and met international norms’
Baku, November 8 (AZERTAC). Azerbaijan`s November 7 parliamentary elections were held in a free and transparent manner and met international standards, said Turkish MP Mustafa Kabakci, a member of the observation mission of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Turkic-Speaking countries (TurkPA).
Kabakci stressed “by holding such well-organized elections Azerbaijan reaffirmed its commitment to observing its international obligations”.
Kabakci underlined during the Azerbaijan trip members of the mission have met with the country`s foreign minister Elmar Mammadyarov and chairman of the Central Election Commission Mazahir Panahov.
The TurkPA mission stressed there were not violations of law during the election.
Kazakh MP Amangaldi Momishev hailed conditions created for the international observers.
