Azerbaijan’s NOC officials to attend 54th EOC General Assembly

Vice-President of Azerbaijan’s National Olympic Committee (NOC) Chingiz Huseynzade, NOC Secretary General Azer Aliyev, and International Relations Director at NOC Anar Baghirov will participate in the 54th session of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) set to take place in Frankfurt, Germany, from February 28 to March 1.
Thomas Bach, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Spyros Capralos, President of the European Olympic Committee (EOC), and Thomas Weikert, President of the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB), will attend the General Assembly.
The first day of the General Assembly will feature discussions on the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games and the Istanbul 2027 European Games. The participants will hear reports by the Organizing Committees of IOC, EOC and Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC).
The General Assembly will feature the 13th Piotr Nurowski Best European Young Athlete Prize and EOC Order of Merit awarding ceremonies.
The second day of the 54th General Assembly will see the EOC Olympic Laurels’ Awards ceremony.
The GA participants will also hear reports by IOC President Spyros Capralos, EOC Secretary General Raffaele Pagnozzi, ANOC Secretary General Gunilla Lindberg.
