Azerbaijan`s President offers condolences to Afghan counterpart

Baku, September 22 (AZERTAC). President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has sent a letter of condolence to Afghan counterpart Hamid Karzai over the death of Chairman of the High Peace Council and former President of Afghanistan, distinguished statesman Burhanuddin Rabbani, in a terror act.

The President said in the letter “We are very frustrated over this heinous act. We resolutely condemn terrorism, and support all kinds of fight against all its forms and manifestations.”

“On behalf of myself and the people of Azerbaijan, I extend my deepest condolences to You, the family of the deceased, and your people over this heavy loss.

May God rest his soul in peace!”
