AZERBAIJAN`S REPUBLIC DAY MARKED IN TASHKENT
Tashkent, May 27 (AZERTAC). The association of Azerbaijani cultural centers in Tashkent has held a celebrative event marking May 28th - the Republic Day.
Chairman of the Uzbekistan International Cultural Center Nasraddin Mahammadiyev congratulated Azerbaijanis on the occasion.
He praised the relations between the two countries.
Head of the Association of Azerbaijan cultural centers Akif Aghatalibov highlighted the history of Azerbaijan`s independence, praising national leader Heydar Aliyev`s services.
He stressed: “Thanks to the national leader Azerbaijan is today resolutely moving forward on the path towards strengthening independence, developing economy and building a free and democratic society.”
Other speakers at the event, including members of the Azerbaijani diaspora praised Azerbajan`s economic reforms, President Ilham Aliyev`s foreign policy, as well as the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict over Nagorno-Karabakh.
