Azerbaijan’s upcoming snap parliamentary elections in spotlight of Italian media

Italy’s “Faro di Roma” newspaper has published an article highlighting Azerbaijan’s snap parliamentary elections scheduled for September 1.
The article emphasized that this election marks the first time parliamentary elections will be conducted across the entire sovereign territory of Azerbaijan, including the liberated areas previously under Armenian occupation until 2020.
The article also mentioned that over a thousand candidates have submitted their candidacies for parliamentary seats. A total of 125 deputies will be elected to Azerbaijan’s Milli Majlis, with observers from more than 40 countries and up to 30 international organizations accredited to monitor the elections.
