Azerbaijan’s Victory Day celebrated in Brussels

An official event marking Azerbaijan’s Victory Day was held in Brussels, co-organized by the country’s Embassy in Belgium and the Mission of the Republic of Azerbaijan to NATO.
The opening of the event began with the performance of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of the Motherland.
The speakers at the event included Vagif Sadigov, Azerbaijan's Ambassador to Belgium; Jafar Huseynzade, Head of the Azerbaijan's delegation to NATO; Ramil Hasanov, Military Representative of the Armed Forces of Azerbaijan to NATO's Military Committee.
In their remarks, they highlighted the historical, political and strategic significance of Azerbaijan's glorious Victory in the 2020 Patriotic War.
The speakers also spoke about Azerbaijan's policies to advance the peace, security, and cooperation agenda in the region, its growing influence on international platforms, as well as its achievements as an independent state.
The event brought together representatives of the diplomatic corps, the Belgian public, and members of the Azerbaijani community.
