Azeri ambassador presents credentials to Latvian President
Baku, November 10 (AZERTAC). Newly appointed ambassador of Azerbaijan to Latvia Elman Zeynalov has presented his credentials to President Valdis Zatlers.
The Latvian President praised relations between the two countries, adding “Azerbaijan and Latvia are friendly countries”.
Zatlers underlined the two countries have huge potential to expand mutual cooperation.
The President stressed the important role of Azerbaijani Diaspora in the social and political life of Latvia.
He said chairman of “Ocag” cultural center of Latvian Azerbaijanis Roman Aliyev is a member of the Council for national minorities under the Latvian president.
Latvian President Valdis Zatlers wished Zeynalov every success in his diplomatic activities.
The ambassador he would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding Azerbaijan-Latvia cooperation.
