AZERI CHESS GRANDMASTERS TO COMPETE IN 4th WORLD BLITZ CHAMPIONSHIP

Azerbaijani chess grandmasters Teymur Rajabov and Shahriyar Mammadyarov will compete in the 4th world blitz championship starting in Almaty, Kazakhstan, Friday.

The prize fund of the championship is 350,000 CHF (Swiss franc).

FIDE President Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, former world champion Anatoly Karpov and famous British grandmaster Nigel Short will be among guests of honor during the competition.
