AZERI PARLIAMENTARIANS TO ATTEND CIS IA COUNCIL SESSION
According to press-service of Milli Majlis, the delegation comprises chairman of the standing committee of parliament on regional questions Arif Rahimzade and representative of Milli Majlis in CIS Inter-parliamentary Assembly Aydin Jafarov.
On action, discussed are expected the questions connected to the international institute on monitoring of the development of democracy, protection of suffrages of citizens and strengthening of parliamentarism, and also the work on preparation for the 100th anniversary of the Russian State Duma, and other problems, legislative base for prevention of technical accidents and social protection of the citizens injured with failure of the Chernobyl atomic power station, participation of representatives of Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the CIS in supervision over presidential elections in Kazakhstan.
Also are planned the meetings of delegation of the Parliament of Azerbaijan with chairman of the Supreme Rada of Ukraine Vladimir Litvin, chairman of Council of the Federation of Federal Assembly of Russia Sergey Mironov, and other officials.
Representatives of Milli Majlis will also visit monuments to the nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev in Kiev and to the outstanding scientist - ophthalmologist, academician Zarifa Khanum Aliyeva in the city of Irpen.
The visit will end on February 11.
