Azerigas signs agreement with E.On Ruhrgas AG on feasibility study
Baku, November 5 (AZERTAC). The Azerigas Production Union which is responsible for the transmission and sale of natural gas in Azerbaijan signed an agreement on the development of feasibility study with German company E.On Ruhrgas AG.
The document was signed by Akper Hajiyev, Director General of Azerigas PU and Herald Linke, senior representative of E.On Ruhrgas AG.
The project is aimed at modernization of the system of gas distribution system of Baku and Absheron and minimization of technical losses of gas as well as the providing of local residents with gas. The feasibility study offers application of European norms and standards. The project will be reportedly developed during 6 months.
Ruhrgas AG is Germany’s largest natural gas distribution company. The company remained the industry leader through its aggressive exploration of emerging energy sources in the North Sea, the Baltic region, and Eastern Europe. Although the company is officially part of the Ruhrgas Group, the name Ruhrgas AG generally is recognized to refer to the corporation as a whole.
