AzerTAc`s employees take multimedia training at Austrian Press Agency
Vienna, 13 November (AZERTAC). AZERTAC`s senior engineer Javani Agayev and head of Multimedia-video service Taleh Guliyev attended a one-week workshop to learn about multimedia facilities at the Austrian Press Agency (APA) in Vienna.
On the first day of the visit, both agencies made presentations on their history, current structure, strategic targets and international relations.
Head of APA`s Multimedia Department Marcus Hebein raised awareness of AZERTAC employees about the agency`s structure, workflow, solutions and procedure. He gave information on such multimedia department`s services as Web, SMS, MMS, Screens and etc. He also dwelt on how multimedia contents including video, text, picture and infographics products are developed and coordinated at the agency.
APA-IT`s senior consultant Gerald Bossert-Stumvoll made a presentation on infrastructure, archive, search and editorial systems.
He said APA-IT developed in 2009 the new editorial-system for news agencies which is called “MARS”. He added “APA-IT serves customers in Germany, France, Switzerland and other European countries though Austria remains the primary market ”.
AZERTAC and APA enjoy effective cooperation within the European Alliance of News Agencies.
Former chief of APA and EANA Vyslozil Wolfgang, who is a close friend of AZERTAC`s director general Aslan Aslanov, played a “special” role in organizing of the training program.
