Baku-2015 European Games Organizing Committee hosts dinner in Sochi
Sochi, February 10 (AZERTAC). The Baku-2015 European Games Organizing Committee has hosted a dinner on the sidelines of the 22nd Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
The event was attended by President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Thomas Bach, former IOC President Jacques Rogge, President of the European Olympic Committees (EOC) Patrick Hickey, as well as representatives of Olympic committees of several countries.
The welcome speech was given by Chef de Mission of the Azerbaijani delegation Konul Nurullayeva.
Addressing the event, Azerbaijani minister of youth and sports Azad Rahimov and EOC President Patrick Hickey hailed the preparations for the Baku-2015 European Games.
IOC President Bach expressed his confidence that Baku-2015 will mark a milestone for the international Olympic movement.
The dinner featured performance by Azerbaijani musicians.
