BAKU CARGO STATION REPORTS ON RISE IN HANDLING VOLUME

Azerbaijan State Railway’s Baku Cargo Station has exceeded the cargo handling plan for 11 months of 2005.

For the mentioned period, the loading forecast has been exceeded by 16,5 percent shipping 5 million 614 thousand 275 tons instead of 4 million 816 thousand 47 tons plan. The volume of cargo unloading by the station has been exceeded by 126,5 percent. Cars’ downtime has been reduced to meet the quota from 19,6 hours up to 16,7 hours. Since the beginning of 2005 ferries has carried 20 thousand 287 cars against 1748 plan.
