Baku hosts opening ceremony of 3rd Forum on " Public Processes in Media Space"

The 3rd Forum on “Public Processes in Media Space,” organized by the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, was held in Baku.
The event started with the performance of the National Anthem of Azerbaijan, followed by a minute of silence observed in memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and martyrs who died in the Patriotic War.
Then, a video clip featuring the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture” was screened.
Addressing the event, Ahmad Ismayilov, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency (MEDIA), noted that a series of awareness sessions titled “WUF13: Sustainable Urban Development and the Role of Media” was jointly hosted by the WUF13 Azerbaijan Operations Company and the Media Development Agency.
He emphasized that one of the most important examples of the National Leader’s urban planning vision being internationally recognized today is the decision to hold WUF13 in Baku. The organization of WUF13 in Baku is an indicator of the high appreciation of Azerbaijan’s achievements in the field of urban planning by the international community.
The forum was also addressed by Samaddin Asadov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport; Firudin Gurbanov, Deputy Minister of Science and Education; and Riad Gasimov, Head of the Baku General Directorate for Architecture and Urban Planning of the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture.
The aim of the forum is to enhance the coverage of public processes in the media space, develop common approaches to challenges in the digital environment, and promote innovative media solutions.
