Baku hosts regional seminar on agriculture
Baku, July 4 (AZERTAC). A regional seminar on “Capacity-building of agriculture ministries in Central Asian nations and Azerbiajan for supporting agro-business, agro-processing and value added tax” organized by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and Kyrgyzstan’s RDS-Elet non-commercial company has today started here today.
The seminar has brought together representatives from FAO, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan.
Azerbaijan`s Deputy Minister of Agriculture Bahram Aliyev, FAO representative Olivio Argenti made reports in the event.
The aim of the seminar is to find effective support ways for development of agrarian business and marketing activity in relevant sector. The event also discussed organizational issues on technical support for farmers and agricultural workers .
The seminar will last till July 6.
