Baku to host annual World Forum of Diplomatic Academies

Baku, September 29 (AZERTAC). A traditional annual International Forum of Diplomatic Academies and Institutes of International Relations was held at Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, USA, on September 25-28.

Deans and directors of more than 100 Diplomatic Academies and Institutes of International Relations attended the forum.

Participants discussed a wide range of issues, including regional cooperation, human resources development, training and challenges, as well as the role of diplomacy in solving environment problems.

Azerbaijani deputy foreign minister, rector of the Azerbaijan Diplomatic Academy (ADA) Hafiz Pashayev took part in the event.

Pashayev raised awareness of forum participants about ADA and its achievements.

The rector proposed to hold the next forum (2012) in Baku.

Deans and directors of Diplomatic Academies and Institutes of International Relations unanimously supported Pashayev`s proposal.

The International Forum on Diplomatic Training was established in 1972. ADA has been participating in the forum since its establishment in 2006.
