BLACK SEA ASSOCIATIONS OF NATIONAL NEWS AGENCIES ESTABLISHED IN KIEV
Aslan Aslanov, Director General of the State Telegraph Agency of Azerbaijan - AZERTAC, has presented Azerbaijan.
On 29 May, the Kiev City Administration received participants of Forum.
At the meeting, also speaking was the Director General of AZERTAC Aslan Aslanov who thanked doe well-organized meeting and hospitality, underlining that Azerbaijan actively upholds the idea of further expansion of information space of Black Sea basin, establishment of equal and free exchange of information among the national news agencies.
The Anadolu Agency (A.A) Director General Dr. Hilmi Bengi as well as representatives from Athens News Agency (ANA), Armenian State News Agency (ARMENPRESS), Albanian Telegraphic Agency (ATA), State Information Agency of Azerbaijan Republic (AZERTAC), Bulgarian Telegraph Agency (BTA), Georgia News Agency (CAUCASUS-PRESS), Russian News Agency (ITAR-TASS), Moldova State News Agency (MOLDPRESS), Romanian News Agency (ROMPRESS) and Serbia-Montenegro`s News Agency (TANJUG) attended the signing ceremony hosted by Ukrainian National News Agency (UKRINFORM).
Chairman of the Association has been elected th director general of Ukrainform Victor Chamara, his deputy - director general of Bulgarian Telegraph Agency Maksim Minchev.
The next meeting of BSANNA will be held in 2007 in Bulgaria.
A declaration was issued after the ceremony which stated ‘BSANNA aims to contribute to cooperation and friendship among Black Sea littoral countries through exchange of news reports.
