BTC PIPELINE TRANSPORTED 470 MLN BARREL OIL SO FAR
The Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan oil pipeline has transported 470 mln barrel crude oil so far, Hilmi Guler, minister of energy and natural resources of Turkey said at the conference “Transportation of Caspian hydrocarbons to the European markets and alternative energy routes”, organized by the World Power Commission in Istanbul.
Daily transportation through the BTC will soon reach 1, 6 million barrel and Kazakhstan will join the pipeline, the Minister underlined.
Hilmi Guler added that it is necessary that the member countries should make real steps for realization of Nabucco project to complete it in 2013. In this case, the European countries will get 31 billion cubic meters of natural gas annually.
