CANDIDATES FOR JUDGE FOR THE FIRST TIME PASS WRITTEN EXAMINATION
In this connection, for the first time in history of the country, for some 1000 candidates for judge were arranged examinations.
On November 26, 2005, was carried out written examination for 223 candidates for the judge, 60 and more points which have collected at test examinations and admitted to the second stage.
With a view of maintenance of transparency behind the examination organized in the Baku Palace of Sports, were watching the authoritative international organizations, 30 observers from local NGOs and jurists, all tele-channels and news agencies, and also representatives of press.
According to rules of election of judges before the beginning of examination, Judicial - Legal Council at the session which has been carried out under presidency of Minister of Justice Fikret Mammadov, has determined preparation of 8 unusual questions for use at examination.
Candidates with the help of special device have chosen two of the specified questions.
At the examination, proceeding four hours, candidates showed the abilities connected to disclosing of essence of question and the contents of the law, full estimation of the put questions and the decision of incidents, use of the concept of the law.
Results of examination will be declared after double check separately by members of Selective Committee of judges and the invited experts with the condition of observance of full anonymity.
Observers highly have estimated written examination for the first time carried out for candidates for judge, as the most transparent procedure.
