Center for Strategic Studies hosts “roundtable” on Turkey-Azerbaijan ties
Baku, October 7 (AZERTAC). The Center for Strategic Studies under the Azerbaijan President has hosted today a “roundtable meeting” on the Turkey-Azerbaijan relations.
Speakers at the event included director of the Ankara University`s Center for European Union Research Cagrı Erhan, dean of the Kadir Has University Mitat Celikpala and teacher of the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges Sinem Acıkmese.
The talks focused on a number of issues, particularly the current state of and prospects for political, economic and cultural cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey, the ongoing geopolitical situation in the South Caucasus region and Turkey-Russia relations.
Erhan hailed the cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey.
Other speakers said a Joint Declaration signed recently in Istanbul on establishment of the Council for high level strategic cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkey demonstrates that the bilateral ties were based on the principles of friendship and fraternity.
The speakers also underlined the importance of strengthening joint activities of the Azerbaijani and Turkish Diaspora organizations.
The event was attended by Azerbaijani and Turkish political experts.
