Chairman of Azerbaijan Press Council attending conference in Russia
Baku, October 7 (AZERTAC). Chairman of the Azerbaijan Press Council Aflatun Amashov is participating in the 13th annual conference of Alliance of Independent Press Councils of Europe in Moscow, Russia.
Addressing the opening ceremony of the conference, Amashov provided information on the Azerbaijan Press Council`s activity over the past period, progress achieved in tackling negative trends in the country`s media and deepening freedom of speech and press. He pointed out much work has been done so far to improve journalists` conduct in the past period.
A three-day conference will feature analysis of press councils` activities operating in Europe and exchange of views on different working principles in the countries.
