CIS MEMBER-STATES’ INTERACTION IN UNITED NATIONS DISCUSSED IN MOSCOW

In embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia, In the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia took place consultations on interaction of the CIS member-states in the United Nations concerning the agenda of 61st session of General Assembly of the United Nations. Representatives of embassy of Azerbaijan in Russia, and representatives of Kazakhstan, Georgia, Belarus, Kirgizstan, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Armenia and CIS Executive Committee have taken part in action as observers, embassy of Azerbaijan in Moscow said.

As stated, the meeting was conducted according to the Plan of multilevel inter-ministries consultations within the CIS. In opinion of participants of the meeting, they had detailed and interested exchange of views on the topic of forthcoming session of General Assembly of the United Nations. The special emphasis has been made on necessity of escalating of interaction of delegations of the CIS countries for the United Nations on a complex of the international questions, which will be considered at 61st session of General Assembly. It was stipulated to continue coordination of approaches of the Commonwealth countries in the frame of United Nations.

The 61st session of UN General Assembly is due in a month in New York.
