COUNTRIES OF BLACK SEA BASIN TO HOLD CONFERENCE ON TOURISM

Countries of the Black Sea Basin are to hold a conference on tourism from 25-26 September in Azerbaijan. According to information from the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Tourism of Azerbaijan, this ministerial level conference will discuss the opportunities of tourist business in the region, issues concerning simplifying visa regimes and the organization of regional tourist routes.

Within the framework of the conference, a thematic exhibition on tourism will be organized and each country is expected to make a presentation of its tourism programme.

Representatives from Turkey, Russia, Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, Romania, Albania and Greece are expected to take part in the forum.

That apart, for the first time, the 1st international festival of tourism films will present up to 60 films from which the best films will be awarded prizes and distributed to all international tourist agencies as illustrative material.

All these measures are tied to the World Tourism Day, which is celebrated on 27 September every year.
