CUSTOMS OFFICERS EXCEEDED 8-MONTHS FORECAST

The State Customs Committee and its local structures fulfilled the forecast for January through August 2003 by 102,8 percent.

According to the preliminary data, during 8 months, customs organizations collected and transferred to the state budget taxes and duties for the total sum of 634,4 billion manats instead of 617,1 billion manats. It is by 81,4 billion manats or 14,7 percent more as compared to the same period of 2002.
